I can’t speak highly enough of the team at Face Value Dental - especially Dewi Naibaho and Dr Ben Gooden. Dewi is, without a doubt, the best hygienist I’ve ever seen. Her attention to detail, gentle approach, and genuine care make every visit feel more like a wellness experience than a dental check-up. It’s rare to actually look forward to a clean, but Dewi somehow makes that happen. Dr Ben is equally fantastic. He recently removed my two impacted wisdom teeth with absolute professionalism and skill. What could have been a daunting experience was smooth, comfortable, and handled with care from start to finish. I won’t go anywhere else. Dewi and Ben are my go-to team for anything dental. Thank you both for setting the bar so high.

if you don't get your dental work done here you need to change that now. Ben is the best I have come across. Explains everything along the way and is so good at what he does. I will definitely be recommending him to everyone. The whole experience at Face Value was really great.

Had a sudden toothache and managed to get an emergency dental appointment pretty quickly. The dentist checked everything, took X-rays, and sorted the issue with minimal fuss. Pain relief was quick, and they walked me through aftercare and future treatment options like fillings or root canal if needed. Bit pricey, but that’s fairly standard for urgent dental services.

It is always so good to connect with my lovely dental hygienist, Kellie, and dentist, Malcolm. I really feel listened to, and they take the time to explain things really well to me. I love coming to see them - and they have an Airflow too 💜 …

I have been a patient about 6 years,and have been treated by Drs Duff,Kelly,Godden and Al-Azawi,plus their assistants and hygienists.I am greatly impressed by all of them.Great skill,communication and humanity.Two procedures in particular were of an emergency nature and quite challenging professionally.One may have merited the attention of a specialist oral surgeon,but that was only discovered at the appointment.They were performed adroitly on the spot(I would think at considerable disruption to their busy schedules) and in a cheerful,unflappable manner which instilled total confidence.Another time,I needed a cap done.I had booked a holiday due to start in only a couple of days and Dr Duff moved heaven and earth to get the cap made and inserted before I went away. I like the fact that there are many dentists and that they can and do call on colleagues within the practice for advice and assistance if things get tricky. They seem to have all the modern tools of their trade.Their receptionists are friendly helpful and efficient. I have never been kept waiting for my appointment to begin. As a BUPA member I find their fees,and “gap”,very reasonable. I believe I am not going over the top to call this dental practice an”adornment”to this highly respected profession.

Really great experience. My appointment actually started a few minutes early, which never happens at a dentist! The dentist was super friendly, explained everything step by step, and made the whole process feel calm and easy. Nothing was rushed or pushed. Reception staff were lovely too. Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. 🦷

I went to Bupa Dental on Albert St for the first time since coming back to Aus and was honestly really nervous because I had bad experiences with dentists overseas. 🦷😖 I chose Dr Benjamin Gooden after reading reviews, and I’m so glad I did. He explained everything clearly and made me feel really comfortable, especially since I’m scared of !!needles!! and dental work. I had 4 fillings done with him and it was honestly great — he got it right the first time, no need to go back to fix uneven fillings like I’ve had before. Just got it done properly and could go home, which I really appreciated. 😭🙏 Also shoutout to Leissa Croft the hygienist, she was so kind and gentle. The reception team were super lovely too. Best dental experience I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend! 💕

The booking process was quick and the receptionists were friendly when I arrived. I didn't have to wait long to see Dr Ben Gooden and he created a treatment plan without pressuring me into anything. As I was in pain, he made space to treat me on the same day and I was also able to get a thorough clean with the hygienist Leissa, who was very gentle and also provided information on good dental care. All staff members were very friendly and went above and beyond to answer any questions. Would highly recommend this clinic.

I’ve been a patient here since 1999.... that’s 26 wonderful years of exceptional care, from simple check-ups to tricky rebuilds (including the occasional “champagne-too-many” mishap 😅).
